Jillian Murray, HR Coordinator/PA to Managing Director, West Scotland

Time with company: 22 Years and 8 Months

Barratt is a household name, and I was attracted by the opportunity to be a part of such a vast and respected organisation.

There is a real hard work ethic within our division, and every day brings a fresh challenge. I have seen many changes in the organisation throughout current years and we all work hard to achieve our goals and targets which are recognised by our Senior Management Team.

I really enjoy the challenges of running of the Divisional Office and having contact with all of my colleagues.  I also took on a new responsibility of HR Co-ordinator in the last year.  I have really enjoyed this and was provided with the opportunity to attend a nationally run programme to develop my skills as well as network with the others on the programme to share experiences and best practice.  We formed a bond throughout the programme which will benefit ourselves and our Divisions going forward.

I have always been in a secretarial role, but Barratt was my first experience within the house building sector.  I have had many opportunities to progress throughout my time here and being a long-serving colleague I am very happy within the organisation.
