I’ve had five jobs within Barratts, started as a Quantity Surveyor and I then moved up t o be a technical manager within the Technical function, became a director at 34 and then moved up to be a Managing Director in the Leeds division.

Before I joined Barratts, I felt that they were a forward thinking company, a good employer in terms of longevity and security. As I progressed through the management functions, the training became more intense, and until I became a Managing Director where upon I have had more training and development for health an safety management and more recently the Apex programme and pathing leadership way.

The best thing about working for Barratts is the passion the business has for driving the success, being a leader at what they do including customer service, including build quality, including our development process for our people.

I see my key role as a managing director, to inspire and lead my team within the Yorkshire west division to be the best at what they do. The sorts of qualities that I believe people should have working for barratts one of the key ones is being a key player, being able to share best practice, and being able to step outside of you comfort zone and stretch yourself.
