Sharon Hyde, Sales Manager, Barratt David Wilson Yorshire East

Time with company:  2 years 6 months

Barratt have historically had a perception of being ‘task masters’, however as the only National House Builder to achieve 5 star status for two years in a row, it was my opinion that they’re obviously doing something right.

Although I have worked for other house builders, I came to work for Barratt in my first managerial role.  I work for a division which is dual branded so I get to work with both the Barratt and David Wilson brands.   I was given a great package including benefits and job stability in an industry that I love.  In return the role is very demanding but very rewarding and I get to work on numerous exciting developments.

The Barratt Group have very high standards and expectations, I feel they have worked harder than most to weather the storm in the current climate and this shows in the results we are achieving.

In my two and a half years within the organisation I have taken part in several Training programmes, I enjoy the variety, training and freedom to get on with my job, along with the support from my peers, Managers  and Directors. In 2010 I won the Employee of the year for the Northern Region and have since been accepted onto the Elevations Training Programme.

Barratt are fair employers and your hard work is appreciated, the recognition scheme is exceptional.  Time and money is invested in employees as they want to be the best there is and with the opportunities available, the sky’s the limit!
