Time with company: 2 years (6 months temping previously)
Barratt is the only company I have worked for since arriving in the UK in from South Africa, I initially started on a temporary basis. When I was offered the initial assignment I did some research and quickly realised that I had an opportunity to work for the largest house builder in the Country. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience I had been given within the organisation and was very keen to stay. Barratt recognised my hard work and potential which secured me a permanent position.
One of things that I love about Barratt is the positive and supporting attitude, even throughout the tough times. The work is challenging but hard work is always recognised and appreciated, and I feel that there are good prospects for the future. I really enjoy having the responsibility to resolve any Customer Service issues, and I am always striving to meet the satisfaction of both Barratt and our Customers.
Working for Barratt has been my first role in the house building profession, as my previous experience was within the legal sector. I am glad that I made the transition and would definitely recommend Barratt as an employer. I feel that it is a company which recognises and acknowledges hard work and dedication, both through remuneration package and the supportive environment created. Since joining I have been given the opportunity to further myself within the company.
