I am a subcontractor looking for work at your Company, how do I go about this?
You should contact the Division directly as we do not advertise for sub-contractors on our website.

I am already an employee of the Barratt Group, how do I apply for vacancies?
We highly value and encourage applications from within the Barratt Group.  You will need to apply via our online application process which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and you will receive instant feedback throughout the process.  Your application remains completely anonymous until you submit it.

Where do I send my CV?
Please look at the jobs available on our Careers website and follow the instructions for applying online.

What happens next in the recruitment process?
Depending on the job you have applied for, after your application is submitted you will receive an acknowledgement explaining the process going forward.  You will receive instant feedback throughout the application process.

What opportunities are there for career progression?
We strongly believe in “growing our own” please check out our profiles and video links of our current employees.

Where should I look to see what jobs are available?
Please use the online job search facility to see what the jobs are.

How often are the vacancies updated?
The vacancies are updated on a daily basis.

I do not have an email address – can I apply in writing?
To complete our on-line application process, and so that we can contact you during the recruitment process you will need a valid email address.  If you do not currently have an email address, you can set one up easily by visiting a web based email provider such as Hotmail or Yahoo and following their instructions.

I am from a recruitment agency, am I able to forward you CVs?
We currently operate a Recruitment Agency Framework across the Company, the company only uses approved suppliers that are on the Recruitment Agency Framework.  We also have a list of interested agencies and due to the size of this list we are no longer accepting approaches from further agencies.

If I want to know more about the Job where do I look?
On the Vacancy Details page you can find information on the vacancy.

I cannot find any current vacancies that I would like to apply for, how do I register my interest?
If you do not get a match you will be able to resister your interest and we will email you when a position becomes available that matches your search.  Please follow the instructions on line.

Do all applications have to be made online?
Yes, all of our vacancies are advertised on our careers website, and the application process is online.

Do I need to disclose all criminal convictions?
You only need to disclose if you have any criminal offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974?

What is meant by an unspent conviction?
If you have ever been convicted of an offence for which a sentence of more than 2 years was imposed (regardless of the amount you have actually spent in prison) then this conviction can never become spent.

What is the purpose of the equal opportunities section?
To ensure and monitor equality of opportunity for all applicants. This information is used solely for monitoring purposes and will not be used in association with your application.

When will I be notified of the outcome of the application?
You will be notified usually 7 days after the expiry date of the Vacancy. For some vacancies further selection stages may be required.

I applied for a job recently; do I have to go through the application process again?
If you have previously been unsuccessful you would need to apply for any roles that you are suited to separately as the questions we ask you about yourself and your past experiences are relative to each individual role. If you have been advised you have been unsuccessful but being held on our Talent Bank, then you would not have to go through the application process again.

What is the Talent Bank?
Candidates that are held on our Talent Bank have gone through part of our recruitment process and have demonstrated a number of the skills and attributes that could match a role with us.  We therefore keep contact with these candidates and contact them again when a suitable role becomes available.

Will I be contacted if I’m not successful?
Yes you will be contacted within 7 days of the closing date of the vacancy; this will notify whether you have passed the Application stage. Further selection stages may apply.
